Hello, and welcome to your very first of possibly many confessional questionnaires. This is where I, xoffy, pop into your confessional and ask all the burning questions that are specific to you, yes you [insert player name here]! Only the most quality content scientifically and mathematically calculated to get the maximum enjoyment from you, [insert player name here] and for us the spectators at home. So let's just dive in, shall we?
1) It's been a few hours since the game started and I hope you've had a chance to talk to everyone. Is there anybody in particular who sticks out? Who do you like best? Who are you indifferent about? Do you have anybody you could gladly do without?
2) Everyone is such cute animals, aren't they? I just want to respectfully and affectionately pat every avatar there is. But, why do you think the animal that you are is the cutest? Is there any animal who you thought was cuter that you didn't get? Does your choice affect your strategy at all?
3) Much of this game has already been spelled out for you in advance, isn't that neat? Is there any mechanic you're most looking forward to? Any you're worried about? Do you have any specific plan going forward to best adapt to the upcoming twists and mechanics?
4) Everyone comes into a game with different skills or hopes and goals. What are some of yours? What are you looking to achieve? What skills are you bringing to the table?
5) If you had to describe your gameplay style as a weather phenomenon or natural disaster, which would you be and why?

I have finally caught a lull in messaging. Nothing that special has happened yet. Sugar Glider has been an active messenger being the first to get to page 2 with me. Don't know what that will turn into, but conversation has been decent. We've talked a lot about video games. Meerkat mentioned liking Sugar Glider, so maybe they'll be too popular and a good target to distract people with at some point.

~xoffy1) Well, I mentioned Sugar Glider. I don't know if I like them the best. I worry the conversation will be too much of talking about hobbies or whatever. I will make another post diving into everyone individually which should answer this more fully. 2) I intentionally went for animals that have more than cuteness for them. I'm trying to differentiate myself from an overly saccharine cuteness. Although, the choice I most wanted, the sand cat, is cute in a way that is much more my style. I like how it is a fierce little predator. 3) I haven't given the mechanics enough thought yet. I'll probably contemplate them a bit more later. 4) I want to win. Jury would be cool though. I think I some natural appeal to me, and it's in a way that doesn't seem to stand out as much. People tend to underestimate me. 5) A breeze because it can swirl around in all kinds of ways. I don't actually know what to expect from myself in this. |

I have messaged everyone gotten a message from the following 8: Giant Panda: I liked this opener because they were not being all positive, and I feel like I might get along with that better. but do you mind if i call you springer? you don't really have the easiest name to read out of all of them i gotta say otherwise hi i'm panda, i'm dumb i do dumb stuff and my self esteem goes increasingly downwards the later in the day it gets, what about you, how's your day been going?
I kinda liked some other posts too. Jerboa: A bit overly positive, and drops lines of discussion all the time. I don't see this working. Lemur: Only one reply and it was nothing special. Harp Seal: We've been accusing each other of being alien spies. Ferret: Don't like the interview format that leads to the usual questions about hobbies and stuff. Meerkat: Kinda bland. Likes Sugar Glider. This was an uninspired first reply. Me agrees, the environment here has been nice although freaky. Been doing pretty well myself, a little overwhelmed but will be fine. You have any plans for this weekend? I'm hanging out with some friends tomorrow but have nothing on Sunday. Got a reply after I stopped messaging. Not much to say yet. Sugar Glider: Whole long conversation about video games. Posts are often a little short, but always with worthwhile content, so that's nice. Could turn out well. |

The Seal has thus far been an interesting, if infrequent, conversationalist. I try to reserve much in the way of judgment for the first day, though. It's the toughest part of getting to know people. Well, you've got me there. As I said, I haven't played Celeste, but it visually reminds me of the glory days of platforming games. I don't know how to compare or contrast them further. Let's see, I have some other interview questions here... what's your favorite flavor of ice cream? You should avoid saying anything you wouldn't want the aliens to hear when talking to them just to be safe. But, it is possible I've misjudged them. Maybe, they're just a jokester. Celeste has a human woman whose hair changes color whenever she dashes. So, that's one thing you know now. Oh dear. You're asking about favorites. Well, I did open with a favorite color. Maybe that led you to believe I was open to that kind of question. Well, this is where I have to put my hoof down. I do not like to be asked about favorites. It stresses me out. Please skip over or rework any questions like that. I like ice cream though. Maybe something minty? Are you offering me ice cream? Can I please have some? lol. I am being quite silly. I hope people don't think of me as too weird. I want to strike the proper weirdness balance whatever that is. |
