SO this is one that uses the strategy of making them mark as much as possible. THere are only a couple of fake paths, but im wondering how hard they make it anyway.

So im going back to the idea that the teleporter is useless, but if they spot that, its going to save them a LOT of time

This is one where the teleporter is useless. Ive tried to make it hard to follow visually, but in a maze this small, thats not easy

The problem is, the more convoluted the path, the less choices there are to make. And mazes, are pretty damned easy to solve - slowing them down with convoluted twists and turns, and using every square might just be 'slower'

This probably is immensely stupid, but rather than having a maze with sep paths, this maze makes them decide to teleport or not. APart from the teleporter it makes them visit nearly every single square. I could do a version where they have to visit every single square. Solving the maze becomes about how fast they can draw a LINE on all 1024 squares

So this is an interesting concept: I started doing an evil maze where the players have to visit every square. THat either works or it doesn't. No idea on that one. It's either incredibly smart, or incredibly stupid. But I started doing this: The concept here is you have a choice on the yellow square and then the two paths end up following each other around. Makes it much harder to follow which one is right. Any thoughts on this idea? Its currently 6:25PM where I am, and that means my ability to do more on this vanishes soon!

Just note, for any maze concept we settle on, we are going to have transfer to that graphic. That won't be easy, and time is short. So feedback would be appreciated.

This is a competition about speed. Mazes are easy. The best way to slow our opponents down is a maze that has no forks and visits every single square. Shall we take the risk? Thats 1024 squares they have to draw a line through

I don't think thats a terrible idea. Sadly this snowstorm in Colorado is making my work way busier than it normally is Is there a way to use the teleporters to try to make it double back or something like that?

I did get some clarification abotu the teleporters and it's something we should keep in mind. You aren't FORCED to teleport if you walk over the teleport spot. So in theory we could have the teleporter be a total fake out and the actual path ignores them (while including them) if that makes sense.

Top Maze is my original 'simple' maze. Bottom is 'evil/naive' maze with no forks. It visits every square, bar one. Can people draw on them and tell me the length of time it took. I need to know if visiting every square is a big pain or not

Not a difficult maze because thats really the only choice. Ill do up a forked one

The top maze took me ~ 4:00 to solve (I worked backwards from the end to the start)
The bottom maze took me ~ 3:50 to solve (again working backwards)
So there was little difference between the two. I could try running it the "right way" to see if that changes anything.
