So basically, there's this really interesting dynamic between myself, Pika and Lorry. Pika is a very good player, really strong at a lot of the things that I'm also strong at, namely forming a deep game relationship with someone on an individual level and translating that cleanly into an in-game advantage. Most of our chats are blatantly us being honest about how we view the game, not particularly hiding our potential to be rather threatening. This started as me trying really hard to foster a deep relationship with Pika, but I'm mostly doing it now because it's incredibly fun and I don't have many other places to talk about random hypothetical Survivor scenarios and actually get reciprocal feedback. We're so similar it's not even funny.
And then we've got Lorry. Lorry is also a lot like us, except she seems to come without experience of MS Survivor meta. So while there's less discussion of things at the level of depth that Pika and I are able to get into, she's got a lot of original ideas and is willing to just... do them, or run them by Pika ready to ship out. Which leads to such a unique experience!
I can't wait to see what the three of us are able to get up to once we're merged... assuming we don't go to a fourth TC lmao

Right now the Terrarium Trio are discussing the idea of us all pretending for the rest of the game that I played an idol to get Shrew out, to avoid us seeing like a tight threesome
which doesn't feel like the optimal play, but also feels exceedingly fun to try and pull off and could actually produce some nice tangible benefits to my own game

Also apparently Lorry thinks I consider her my #1 ally, according to Pika. I think it's entirely possible that Lorry doesn't consider things in terms of #1 allies at all, and is willing to do whatever she needs to do to get ahead. At least, I'm hoping she thinks that way and isn't really to just sit in Pika's pocket to the end! I want to be her viable endgame buddy to Pika's obvious winner threat.

I'm finding it difficult to summarise what my alliance with Pika is like in a way that'll be accurate and make sense in my confessional. Pika is very strong. I trust her a LOT. I'm finding a lot of utility in discussing the game with her very openly, and I know she is too. I'm aware that as we get further in the game together, she is probably going to be overshadowing me and I need to have a plan to do something about that. That doesn't mean I can't make the most of this alliance while it's here. She's making the game incredibly fun for me too.

Oh god what was going down on my former tribe...my bed is calling my name, but I'll do my best. The most active people were Elephant Shrew and Red Panda, and then next most active were myself and Fennec Fox. Red Panda is constantly online and talking to everyone but their PMs are short and rapid fire and they're maybe a little bit of an overplayer. Fennec Fox is super fun and easy to talk with and I think knows what they're doing. Capy formed an alliance with all of the rodents on the tribe that I think no one but Capy took seriously. Quokka was not someone I connected with but was hardcore gunning for Capy, which is probably why he went home. I think Sand Cat is charming and genuine but hard to talk game with. And Ermine...took the lead with challenges? Other people seemed to like Ermine but I felt like my conversation with them went nowhere. I can give you more details tomorrow, that's what I've got in me right now. So with merge coming right up, I'm doing some thinking about how I might want to approach this. This quote from Pika is the best set of info I have to work with really (though I might follow up on that last sentence!). Here's what I'm seeing... Red Panda: A sort of Jerboa equivalent from APen? Possible ally option, though they're probably already satisfied with their position in the game and the allies they have. I want this critter to like me and not immediately target me. Fennec Fox: Probably the best player I haven't met. This critter will make it far, so I need a plan for them soon. It sounds like Pika rather likes them, and there's a chance we come together naturally thanks to that mutual friendship. But do I want them to think I'm strong or weak, or somewhere in the middle? I suppose they're likely to hear good things about me from Pika, so I won't play it weak. I'll give them an honest shot, be myself, see where things go and adjust from there. Capybara: Might not be long for this world? Though there's gotta be some funny business with them and Harp Seal/Meerkat, unless there was an idol play. Tbh knowing Harp Seal, I expect that they actually are allied and took out Ferret together, potentially even due in part to me warning Harp Seal about the Jerboa/Glider/Ferret connection. One of the first things I'll do when I'm back with Harp Seal is ask him how Capybara and Sand Cat are, and decide how to handle them based on that conversation. If Capybara is just the first vote at merge though then that's also fine. Sand Cat: Now here's someone who I'm interested in getting to know. What a nice little description from Pika. I'm going to try really hard to see if I can make myself valuable to this critter as soon as I can, because if I play my cards right I see potential for a solid alliance here that no one would expect. I would need to get them interested on a game level as well though, which Pika is saying might be a challenge. Ermine: My biggest wildcard - someone Pika doesn't care much for but others do. I'll... uh, see what happens? |

I wanted to get Whet Owl and Sand Cat together, and then get us on board with the idea that we needed to take out bigger threats. And then I wanted to drag Lorry into that group by convincing her that she needed to make a play on Pika.
